This cheese was made here on the Hill and you can't get it anywhere but here. Let me tell you this cheese has been blessed by the local priests on the hill because the only way to describe it is heavenly I love the hill and I'm now married to an Italian it is my dream to live on the hill. It like the cheese is a scene from above I love the families loyalty and pride there god bless to them all

We are from St. Louis and miss the wonderful pizza we would get...it is not cheap to order the cheese and get it sent, but boy, did we enjoy it. Homemade pizza with provel on top! Delicious

I grew up on the Hill and have been a life long lover of Provel. After 38 years in the military and having been all over the world, I have always either returned home to see family and purchase Provel or order it on the internet. For pizzas and subs the taste of Provel cannot be topped.

We purchased a brick of the Porvel cheese and it is just as we remembered our St. Louis style pizza, which is to say "excellent"! Will improvise on some recipes using this cheese and I am sure our experiments will end up being very tasty!
One suggestion I would make is to include maybe 2 or 3 recipes when using this product for folks not familiar with this cheese. Obviously it works well on pizza and you suggest sandwiches and salads as well, but maybe there is something only the good folks in StL know about that they'd like share, recipe wise that is.
Overall I rate Provel cheese I received from J.Viviano & sons as a 5 star product.

I have liven in AZ for nearly 19 yrs. and I am still ordering Provel Cheese. You cannot buy it or even special order it here! How can you make stuffed meatballs, salads, pizza or even tuna melts without St. Louis' fabulous Provel?

I can now make St. Louis style pizza even though I'm 1200 miles away. This was the easiest and least expensive way to get provel shipped to me in the South. I'm freezing it in 1/2 lb. blocks, and it will last a long time. Thanks, J. Viviano & Sons!
